Life Groups are how our church grows larger and smaller at the same time. Our goal in is to help you make friends and experience a sense of family at the Rock. We do this by encouraging small home-based groups where people can meet each other, share, have fun and encourage one another. 1. Register for NEXT STEPS 101

NEXT STEPS 101 is your first step to getting connected at The Rock. We are committed to helping you make friends and grow in your relationship with God. The NEXT Steps 101 Seminar is offered on the second Sunday of each month at 4:00pm. Childcare is offered at Central & West campuses.

2. Attend the Membership Class

Once you’ve completed the NEXT STEPS 101 seminar, you can sign up for the two week Membership Class. It is held on the second and third Sunday of each month during the 9:30 a.m. service.

3. Join a Life Group

Life Groups are the best place to make friends, have fun, and experience a sense of family. We want to be more than a friendly church – we want to be a place where it is easy to make friends!

4. Get Involved

Finding a place of volunteer service is fulfilling and fun. Entry-level service opportunities are presented in the NEXT STEPS 101 Seminar.

The Seminars are offered the second Sunday of each month. At the Central campus, the 101 Seminar is offered every month at 4:00pm. The 201, 301, and 401 seminars are offered 2 or 3 times a year. At the West campus, the 101 Seminar is offered every month at 1:00pm.

Childcare is provided and we will offer a light snack during break. Just enter the building through the main doors and you will be directed to your Seminar location. Although it is not mandatory that you register for the Seminar we urge you to register for childcare. This will ensure that we have adequate staff to take care of your young ones!

This seminar provides an introduction to the Rock Church Family. We discuss our history, believes and core values. We also introduce people to what it means to be a member of the Rock Family Worship Center. At the close of the seminar we present the membership covenant and invite people to make a commitment to membership. We then invite prospective members to sign-up for an “entry-level” ministry. Those who commit to membership are registered for the 2-week Membership Orientation Class.

This seminar focuses on spiritual maturity. What does it mean to be a mature Christian? What do I need to do to grow spiritually? “Discovering Life With God” is a down-to-earth, practical seminar that de-mystifies spiritual growth. The Bible teaches that spiritual development begins by establishing new habits in your life that deepen your relationship with God. This seminar is designed to provide you with the foundational tools needed to take steps toward becoming a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ.

This seminar explores who God made YOU to be! Find out how God has shaped you for individual ministry. You will be given tools that will assist you in discovering the unique combination of spiritual gifts, interests, abilities, personality, and life experience that you possess. The Bible teaches that every member of the church is a minister. Once this seminar is complete people are then qualified to pursue other ministries of the church (other than entry level ministries).

This seminar will help you understand your life mission: sharing Christ’s love with others. You will be given practical tools to help you share your faith in a way that is natural for your personality and spiritual gifts. Few people are gifted to share their faith with complete strangers, but God give everyone the mission of sharing what Christ has done for you with others.
